Montenegrin Vranac

A powerful and strong wine of the South, produced from the autochthones grapevine
cultivar Vranac, that has been grown for centuries in Crmnica, the territory spreading
from the lake Skadar toward Adriatic Sea, at the altitude of 500 meters.The top-level
wine, intensively ruby-red with violet undertones. It smells and tastes like ripe cherries
and forest fruit with vanilla tones that leave the aftertaste of fullness and warmth. Its
pleasant bit-terness makes it possible to lay down. Vranac is nowadays a leading variety
in the vineyards of Podgorica where it gives its supreme quality
PAIRING WITH FOOD
It is recommended with read meats, venison, spicy dishes and high-fat cheese. In
Montenegro, people drink Vranac with prosciutto of Njegusi and dishes made of
high-quality fish
